Many of the earlier ones have been drawn in MS-DOS, which explains some jagged corners and the aspect ratio being slightly off in some pictures. This christmas tree was my first attempt to solid ASCII art. I think it is quite good, though there is no star at the top of it. It was too mhįinally: my own picture! This is the peace sign, which is NOT an occultic symbol, even though some people claim it to be. It's been derived from letters "N" and "D" which mean nuclear disarmament. Um, yes, yet another tree, but a lot bigger one. The autumn is here, don't forget your umbrella! (Does it look too dotty?) I have been testing this solid technique a lot and it fits especially well for trees. This "solidified" version looks perhaps more like a sunshade. I spent one evening trying to ASCIIfy Matt Groening's excellent comic characters. He asked for spotted versions so I drew them too. The one that was supposed to be a champignon looks more like a bolt though, maybe I'll do a grayscale version of it some day. ![]()
